In a perpetually wet city like Vancouver, a good anorak is the everyday girl’s best friend. While extremely practical, though, let’s face it: there doesn’t really seem to be a great variety of styles available on the market. That’s probably why this one immediately caught my eye with its slightly different, flattering details (hello, cinched in waist and oversized lapel!). It also has one of those slightly cheesy hidden hoods zipped into the collar, which is sort of reminiscent of my childhood neon pink windbreaker, but also completely ideal for the current spring showers.

  2. The drawstring waist of this jacket creates a very flattering silhouette, doesn’t it, Jen?! And I love the quilted texture, too!! Good find!!

  3. I’m looking for a quilted jacket that would look good for petite ladies. I came across one in express that won’t make me boxy and it’s slim fit. Then I saw yours :) hehe. Now I want to try it . I”m crossing my fingers that these will fit and my hunt for the perfect quilted jacket will finally be over after…2yrs?

  4. Hello,

I’ve actually never commented on a blog before but now seemed like a decent time to start…. I’m currently on maternity leave and have started looking at a lot of fashion blogs, yours included of course, they offer nice inspiration to lose the extra weight and looking at pretty clothes on other people somehow gives me hope for getting out of this rut in the future, lol. Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your blog as you come across as genuine and approachable and the fact that you always smile in your photos is great, I find myself turned off by the bloggers that constantly scowl or try to look very serious, as though smiling means you don’t take fashion seriously or something. I look forward to your updates! I also appreciate the fact that you are Canadian, though on the literal opposite end of the country from me :)
