Hello, it’s been a while! Apologies for the absence – we got married (!) and have been working on starting up our new life. It finally feels like things are settling a little bit now and I’m so glad to be back. Looking forward to sharing more of the content that’s been ready to be posted for what seems like months now – stay tuned!
If there’s one thing the whole wedding planning process taught me, it’s that knowing how to juggle lots of things and prioritizing well is crucial. In the same vein, I also had to learn that I’m unfortunately much worse at doing both than I initially thought. We didn’t hire anyone to plan our wedding, and my husband (still feels weird calling him that!) and I never lived together pre-marriage, so the months leading up to the day were full to say the least. Getting ready for the wedding and working on our new home, in addition to work, meant that I didn’t really get to see my friends much… and that definitely took a toll. Thankfully, I was able to find some time before the big day to take a break and get some of my favourite girls together with a little help and inspiration from my friends at Palm Bay: complete with a record player, string lights, and ice cream sandwiches, it set the stage for the perfect pre-wedding girls night.
