Filing this one under looks I love but don’t wear nearly often enough. As a pear shape, Ive always been a fan of the wide leg, high waisted pant. It highlights my narrow waistline, adds length to my legs, and smooths over my hips and thighs in a forgiving way. However, because the silhouette is so dramatic, it’s definitely not an everyday look for me. Regardless, whenever I get to do it (and the last time was a while back) I tend to find myself questioning why it isn’t. I wore this to a winter wedding last month and, as much as I enjoy wearing dresses, loved it as a comfortable and chic alternative to my typical outfit options.

Yes! Have always been a fan of the wide leg pant! So elegant … only problem is that it’s so hard to wear in the snow! This look is fab on you!

Are you petite? How tall are you?
Would you every wear wide leg pants cropped & with flat shoes?

Hi Linda, I’m just under 5’4, and yes I would wear wide leg cropped pants with flat shoes! I think there are a few tricks to it:
1) Go high waisted and tuck your top in so your waist is accentuated
2) Make sure the crop is above your ankle bone, ideally in inch or two above
3) A pointy toe goes a long way to elongate your legs!
Hope that helps 🙂
