Maybe it’s the weather, but I’ve been feeling quite uninspired and not in the best of moods lately. I don’t celebrate Halloween so this weekend was basically spent sleeping with feeble attempts at studying. What did you do this weekend?

I also have to confess that it was actually quite cold while these photos were being taken and that the little lace top was nowhere near warm enough for the night. So he was there in between shots with my jacket to warm me up (I am spoiled!).

  1. Aww so adorable. It’s impossible to go out in Vancouver now without a jacket. Kudos to you for braving it :) I’ve been extremely uninspired as well, the Vancouver weather, I swear, that’s what it is. Feeble attempts at studying and being downright gloomy sounds like a lame Halloweekend (but it’s okay ’cause I did the same thing). Despite all that, you look super duper adorable, and I LOVE that skirt, you’re so talented <3!

  2. oh jen u look so french chic. i love the little red pencil skirt. u look fabulous. dont worry i do this a lot too where i have a jacket and just take it off right before picture time. the things we do for fashion and blogging.

  3. This is such a pretty, lady-like outfit. I love the red skirt that you made. The whole red, white and black, colour scheme is a classic. I hate that it’s getting so cold out and taking photos puts you at risk of pneumonia!

I didn’t do anything for Halloween either, I just stayed in a watched a lot of True Blood haha. My version of celebrating Halloween. Hope you still had a lovely weekend! xo

  4. Aww, I’ve so missed you and your wonderful blog! Being gone for a week made me fall so behind in my blog-reading! I have to say, that skirt is absolutely perfect. You should be so proud! I was literally scrolling through the pictures wondering where you got it. My weekend has been spent trying to catch up with things and also preparing to start writing my second novel for NaNoWriMo. But mostly I procrastinated and did a lot of online window shopping and playing with my dog. Ha!

  5. I’ve been in the exactly same kind of mood for last few days, must be some autumn depression…
But gotta say you still dress incredibly stylish, whereas I’ve been living in my sweatpants! :o)

    Have a lovely week!!!

  7. Jen,

You and your man look adorable together. You made that skirt? Very chic! I love the combination of black and bright red. The weather is getting much colder where I live too. I need to find a spot in the house to take blog photos. Have a great week!

I haven’t been feeling inspired lately either, but I must say that this red skirt does inspire me!

  17. I didn’t celebrate Halloween either, so, that makes two of us. I love the red pencil skirt worn with that lace blouse and I am glad you had a coat to cover yourself up between shots.

  18. Seems like everyone had a stay-in Halloween! I too find Halloween kind of lame now that I’m not a kid anymore. Your outfit is very chic and I’m impressed that you made that skirt!

  19. I love the black and red. Looks so great on you! I also have a milk obsession with lace so I obviously love that.
Isn’t it funny how us ladies will risk freezing to death for a couple good outfit pictures? ;)

  20. How adorable! You’re a much braver soul… I get cold at the slightest breeze, and probably wouldn’t have lasted long enough to take these great pics! I love your ivory coat too btw :)
