{having so much fun at photoshoots, and developing friendships, with Paul and Rod}
It’s been quite a year: between working with some incredible companies, being featured in a magazine for the first time and being truly forced out of my introvert shell at local events, it’s been a milestone year for this little blog to say the least. I’m working on a 2011 outfit round up for tomorrow, but today I just want to share a few photos of what I’m truly thankful for. In addition to what’s in the photos, I’m so grateful for all of my friends who willingly took photos for me at a moment’s notice, my parents for keeping me constantly aware of reality and God for this opportunity that I believe truly came from Him. This is beginning to sound like an awards acceptance speech, so I’ll end with this: thank you for reading my blog. I’ve been so blessed with genuine readers & supporters and I’m truly humbled that there are people who actually care about my minuscule little space on the internet! Here’s to an even better 2012!

{meeting all of these girls – and many more – and growing a “blogger family”}

{wearing entirely inappropriate shoes for the pumpkin patch because I was too busy thinking about what footwear would look good with the outfit for blog photos}

{taking the camera out because of the blog, snapping photos of many occasions that would not have otherwise been captured}

{and for the boy in the photo prior to this one, who forces me to not take myself too seriously by doing things like refusing to take blog photos unless I dance in front of the camera}

  8. Jen, you are one of the dearest hearts. when you write these kinds of posts and sort out your thoughts into paragraphs which form into the most beautiful sentiments…well i REALLY feel it. you’re such a tender person who notices things, deep meaningful things that a lot of folks tend to glance over.

    the things that reach out to my heart in this post are: your genuine, natural postures, a smile that shines and twinkly eyes that follow suit. the bravery it takes to come out of your normal comfort zone and venture into new unfamiliar places and how you recognize the potential anxiety of it but still move forward anyways. incredibly inspiring! how you are humble, grateful and respectful to all. your acknowledgment of your family really reps the big ways they’ve obviously supported you over the years.

    the candid way you convey your behind the scenes thoughts – AND how David stepped in to save yet another day with those brilliant baggy foot protectors. i hear you about taking the camera around b/c it’s a part of a bloggers life, making memories with photographs. but i guess i hadn’t thought about the opposite; it’s extra nice to be reminded by you that blogging has become a true catalyst in hosting a bevy of conditions that give us many more snapshot keepsakes to hold dear.

    dance on pretty lady! you do it with charming flare and although i haven’t spent much time in your company i still feel a familiarity and that’s all because of a relation i have to the way you take notice.

    happiest wishes sent your way for a brilliant 2012! to you & David both – many blessings! xo ♥
