A Day at the Fair

April 7, 2010

Yesterday was Easter Monday, which meant a day off classes to study and be productive. Or, in our case, visit the fair at the local mall and spend the afternoon playing senseless, rigged games in an attempt to win stuffed animals with such poor quality that even a dollar store wouldn’t sell them.

Who knew it would be so much fun?? We went through the House of Mirrors, went on a ride and then tried with every ounce of our beings to cover a large smiley face with 5 metal circles and shoot out a star with 100 shots from a gun. We spent way too much money but it was definitely one of our best times spent together to date.

Here are all the cuties my wonderful boyfriend ended up winning for me. Can you spot the odd one out? 🙂

Wearing: F21 playsuit, Line cardigan, Joe Fresh tights, Tory Burch Reva flats, Elephant pendant and ring from Front & Co

You are so cute… and your BF won a lot of stuff for you. It doesn’t matter if the quality of the stuffed toys are poor, the important thing is you had fun. I love the elephant pendant, at first glance I thought it was a white heart pendant. xoxo

Looove the playsuit.. You look so cute! Thanks for your comment about my DIY skirt. It was super easy to make.

I actually watched my grandma sew when I was younger and basically taught myself. I use patterns sometimes, but find it’s easier to drape on a form. I learn a lot throuh trail and error, sometimes a lot of error, but it’s fun. I’m going to be taking some classes at our local college this coming fall… I can’t wait! You should definitely give it a try. You can start off with an inexpensive machine. You can get one for under $100 these days.

    Hope this helps 🙂

look at all those stuffed animals (and your pup!)! your bf must be a pro at carnival games! and yes, i hate how they charge so much per game. but it’s all about the fun, right?:) the playsuit looks cute and appropriate for the occasion 🙂 the gray tights add an interesting pop of color as well 🙂
