A New Year

January 13, 2015

vancouver style blog
Hello! It’s been a while… is anybody still there? I’ve certainly missed posting here, and there are various reasons for my absence… but I suppose one of them is that I feel like a lot of my outfits just aren’t all that interesting anymore. My wardrobe is still being increasingly purged (see here; perhaps I’ll write more about this if you’re interested!), while my aesthetic is simultaneously becoming more and more simple. Colour seems like a thing of the past these days, and it’s hard to believe there was ever a time when I pattern mixed and colour blocked on the daily. Regardless, I think it is a great thing that our style can constantly be evolving, so here is essentially what I’ve been in all winter long this year. I hope you’ve been well, and if you are still following along after all this time: thank you.

    Happy new year ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m a long time reader also trying to simply my wardrobe due to time and space limitations, so it would be great to hear about your purge process!

I love following your evolving style (have been following your blog for over a year) and I love your recent outfits. As a fellow blogger, I know what you mean about occasionally feeling like each outfit post needs to be unique or interesting and to always have something new to share. At the end of the day, as long as you’re having fun and staying true to your own (current) style, then that’s all that matters. ๐Ÿ™‚ Keep up the awesome posts!

    Cheers,
    S

P.S. Maybe you can share more sometime on how you decided what to keep and what to purge in your closet…I’d be interested in any tips you have!

You’re back! I desperately need to purge my wardrobe due to lack of space in my tiny loft. I’d love to hear about your process ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m a long time follower and look forward to all your posts. I am simplifying my wardrobe also, leaning towards neutrals for easy mix/matching. please keep posting. what may seem like a boring outfit to you, may not be boring for the rest of us.

Hi Amy, I believe it’s this one, but they don’t have the ivory colour this season: http://aritzia.com/en/product/bromley-wool-coat/48553.html?dwvar_48553_color=1621#lastViewed=5&start=8

*waving* Hi Jen! I love a good blog that puts out quality posts and Iโ€™ve never pegged you as the person who didnโ€™t give her all when writing something for her readers. I love your classic style and how itโ€™s been evolving. I think youโ€™ve already got a handful of future posts as everyone is interested in your simplifying process (me included!). Keep on it, girl! Looking forward to those posts.
