One would probably think that, because I was born and raised in Canada, I wouldn’t be so deathly afraid of the cold. Unfortunately, that just isn’t true: I’m one of those people who are cold all the time as soon as fall gets going. And once winter hits, I’ll quickly succumb to layers upon layers of wool and cashmere and am living in my parka all season long. For me, warmth becomes king and for a few months I will gladly sacrifice any semblance of personal style in order to stay warm.
This is probably why I get so excited once signs of spring start to show up. This wool coat is likely warm enough for a normal persons’s winter standards, but for me it’s been just right for our sunny afternoons lately. I’ve pulled it out to wear nearly every day as of late. I love the piece’s classic and true camel colour, the incredible quality of its wool, and the drama of its wide lapel and wrap belt. Paired with my new blush coloured Everlane Modern Oxfords that are definitely going to be a spring staple (they have a padded footbed that is ridiculously comfortable!), this look is helping me usher in the warmer weather while still helping my constantly chilly self stay cozy.
