I love New York. Between the energy, the people, and the unending list of things there are to explore and do, it has quickly become one of my absolute favourite cities in the world. Last week, I was excited to fly over (more about that later this week, a sneak peek is on instagram!) for the second time this year and my infatuation with the city only grew deeper. I keep telling myself that when the opportunity arises and the timing is right, I would love to live there for a couple of years. …

Manchester Sunset
On our last night in Manchester, we went out for a fun family style meal at Rosso with the boohoo.com execs. This was the day that jetlag really kicked in, which made me extra glad to have packed this number from French Connection. Sometimes, all you need is a dress you feel great in to perk you up and this one definitely did the job for the occasion.---------------------------p.s. Last you'll see of this jacket for a while - promise. ;)Wearing: French Connection dress (c/o), Zara jacket, 3.1 …
The Flowers at Liberty
Out of all the amazing sights I saw in London, one thing that particularly stood out to me were the flowers at Liberty London. There were obvious reasons why, like the freshness and beauty of the blooms, and the gorgeous building, for example. What I loved most about it, however, was that even though it was situated in one of London's busiest parts, something about fresh flowers at the entrance made it seem like I was entering into a quaint and beautiful little neighbourhood shop instead of one …
Manchester
After spending a day and a half in London (and some bad jet lag - apologies for the tired face in these photos), we hopped on the train and took the two hour ride toward Manchester to visit the boohoo.com head offices. It was my first time in this city, and I - at the risk of sounding ignorant - honestly knew nothing about it aside from the fact that David Beckham used to play on their football team. I did know it would be beautiful, though, and I was right: although it was substantially colder …
Neons & Showroom Visiting
On our second day in the UK last week, we had the opportunity to check out boohoo.com's adorable showroom, right in the heart of London's shopping district. It was definitely an experience getting to see an e-retailer's merchandise in person, and I loved all of the different textures, patterns and details in each piece. In between the visit and catching our train to Manchester, we spent some time walking along Carnaby St. and taking in the beauty of the city in warm sunshine - which was …
With Love from London
I visited London back in 2011 and fell in love with its beautiful architecture, stylish people and rich history. As I left, I told myself that I'd be back again as soon as the opportunity arose. Well, it did, and faster than I ever thought it would: last week, I got the chance to fly out to the city for a whirlwind trip with boohoo.com. In addition to learning more about the UK's fastest growing online fashion retailer, it was a treat to also get to spend time with some favourite Canadian …
New York in Photos {day two}
Leathers and furs. Blues, burgundies, and soft neutrals. A collection "inspired by the beautiful history inlaid within ... Istanbul", I absolutely loved the BCBGMAXAZRIA show. It was sportswear... "with just the right amount of feminine appeal", all topped off with sumptuous cashmere beanies... and it was the perfect inspiration for the edgier looks I've been liking for the past couple of seasons. After spending the morning experiencing the hectic backstage environment of a MBFW show, we sat …
New York in Photos {day one}
Last week, I went on a whirlwind two-day, two-night trip to the Big Apple with BCBGMAXAZRIA to see their offices and attend their Fall 2013 show. To say that it was special would be an understatement: I had been longing for another visit to the city after a trip there last May, and to be able to attend with a brand that I've been shopping at for years made it that much sweeter... After arriving into Manhattan late Tuesday night and getting some much-needed shut eye, we set out for a productive …
A Case of Wanderlust
{A Chanel boutique in Florence, Italy} I once read that the more you travel, the more you want to travel. While I certainly don't think that I am well traveled by any means, that sentiment has certainly rung true for me thus far. I feel immensely blessed to have been able to visit some extraordinary places in my relatively young life. And, over the past few years, I've truly come to believe that there is no better, or more fun, way of opening your eyes than to travel.While going through my …
Goodnight, Manhattan
On our last night in New York, we had the privilege of watching the sun go down over busy Manhattan. Armed with a box of Laduree macarons, we headed up to the rooftop patio and spent 10 glorious minutes taking in the beautiful view. Living in Vancouver has allowed me to see many gorgeous sunsets from the beach, but trying to catch glimpses of disappearing sun through countless skyscrapers was, in my opinion, just as special of an experience. The sun finished setting before we knew it, but the …
