This past Canada Day long weekend was full of adventure, including a spontaneous overnight trip across the border and a late night flat tire. It was so worth the lack of sleep, but I’m definitely looking forward to getting back into the swing of things! In the meantime, here is a quick post of an outfit made from “recycled” pieces (i.e. things that have all been shown on the blog), worn several weeks back during an evening of multiple events. Hope you had a great weekend too! To my American friends, what kind of fun, celebratory things do you have planned for tomorrow?!

Wearing: Gap tee, YesStyle jacket, Zara skirt and shoes, MICHAEL Michael Kors bag, necklace from The Bay

  3. Omg, you look so classic and elegant – something out of a Chanel ad…maybe it’s the red lipstick too. Love it!

  4. Such a classic and stylish look for you, Jen! I love the way you wear that basic grey tee and make it look like a million bucks. The red lip is the perfect finishing touch :)

  5. This skirt and those shoes are probably two of my fav pieces in your closet! If we lived near and we were the same size, I’d totally ask you to borrow them. hee hee. :) I love spontaneity! Sorry to hear about your flattie, but glad you had a fun little trip.

Oooo! And congrats to Mae Mae… I’m going to Oahu later this month, so maybe I can steal that clutch away from her.. hahahah. I kid, I kid.

  6. Great remix of items. I love the casual tee paired with the printed pencil skirt, it breaks up the structure outfit nicely. So jealous of your cross border trip (minus the flat tire!), you got some great purchases (instagram). Have a wonderful day :)

    • You’re too sweet, Mae! Probably the pencil skirt forcing me to stand up a little straighter ;) Enjoy the clutch!

    • How unexpected! I own the same lip pencil but rarely wear it because I haven’t found the perfect red lipstick yet. Maybe the solution is to nix the lipstick and opt for the lip pencil!

  9. You look so elegant, Jen! Love the skirt and your tweed blazer.

  12. Love your outfit, especially the skirt! I notice that you have quite a few items from YesStyle. I want to order from them, but every time I browse the website, I feel overwhelmed! Could you post some tips for navigating the website and determining proper fit?
