Dobie

March 18, 2013

Because I frequently “suffer” from the Asian condition of being told I look younger than I actually am, I have, until now, been a little hesitant to wear graphic shirts in spite of being a fan of the look. However, this Doberman tee I came across recently was just a little too good to pass up. Paired with polished separates that have a hint of edge, the shirt feels like a fun element in the look without appearing juvenile.
Wearing: YesStyle tee (c/o), Coach trench, Zara leather skirt (love this faux leather one with zippers), 3.1 Phillip Lim shoes, MICHAEL Michael Kors bag

I giggled at the “Asian condition”. I really love the doberman tee, you’ve styled it very well and I don’t think it makes you look any younger!

I suffer from the same “condition.” People ask me if I’m 16 years old, but I’m 23! I also shy away from cutesy things, but that doberman tee is very cool!

I suffer from the Asian condition too… I’ve been having a lot of people recently asking me if I’m in undergrad which is annoying. But anyway, I don’t think this look is juvenile in the least. Love your bright yellow trench!

No, it’s a true condition, no need for quotation marks around it. I’ll be 31 in five or so weeks, and I still get asked if I’ve got plans for college. Unacceptable, but I suppose when I’m 45 it may be worth it.

But you are only as young as you let yourself feel, so if you feel confident enough to carry graphic t’s, DO IT.

Some of the best street-style darlings have been doing it with panache recently and I am a fan as well.

I’ve also “suffered” from this Asian syndrome you mention, but now that I’m in my early 30s, I get a thrill when I get ID’d! I think your doberman graphic tee is chic and not juvenile at all. You’ve styled it perfectly with the leather skirt and fabulous sunny trench!
