In addition to the fact that it gives me an excuse to indulge in junk food and binge on podcasts, one of my favourite things about long road trips is getting to see how the highway scenery changes from city to city. We recently drove down to Portland, and as we were getting into Oregon began to notice fields upon fields of these lovely, fragrant yellow flowers. We made a mental note to photograph them on the way back home, and a few days later we were definitely trespassing onto numerous private properties to get these shots. Regardless of the fact that a quick internet search revealed that these are actually an invasive weed called Scotch Broom, these little blooms of sunshine provided a fun adventure and the perfect backdrop to usher in the summer season.

That dress is gorgeous; so relaxed and casual looking. I absolutely hate long car rides, but I love going out into the country sometimes, and taking everything in. And your pictures have been absolutely on point for the last while. Loving all the content!
