Layer it Up

January 7, 2013

As much as layering has admittedly begun to feel like a bit of a formula, it has felt almost necessary to change things up and do it a little bit differently after the same thing for a couple of months. Cue an oversized sweater: I love that it allows me to pile on multiple pieces (I’m wearing two cashmere sweaters!) underneath to stay toasty warm without the bulk. The cable knit details, two tone colouring and longer length of this particular number are all of the extra little details that make for a new favourite cozy piece. Happy Monday!
Wearing: YesStyle sweater (c/o), J.Crew cashmere turtleneck, BCBGMAXAZRIA leggings and spike ring, 3.1 Phillip Lim pumps, Artessorio bag (c/o boticca), Pandora (silver) and Coach (gold) stacking rings

You look lovely – and definitely warm. The two-tone sweater is so pretty and very easy colors to mix and match with a lot of pieces. I love those leggings!

Love the sweater. As tricky as layering seems to be you get it right every time.

This is such a cute outfit! It’s nice to see you go in a different direction with this one. It’s such a great idea to wear so many layers under an oversized sweater! will definitely have to try this out.

You wear black-and-white combos so well. The shoes are the perfect finishing touch–I’d been eyeing those online, but when they went on sale they were out of my size. 🙁

Gosh, I’m in love with this outfit! The chunky sweater layered with the turtleneck and the two-tone leggings is just perfect. You make a black and white palette look incredibly interesting with the textures and hints of red and gold.

Now I’m swooning over finding an over sized knit like this. Hmmmmm..
