Orange You Glad?

October 10, 2011

Ever since I fell for this coat (which I can’t wait to pull out again) last year, I’ve casually been on the lookout for more orange. While it’s definitely not an easy colour to wear, nothing quite gives off a burst of cheer more than this hue in its brightest form. This lighter weight sweater from Zara stands out while the air is still warm enough for it to be worn on its own, and it will continue to inject a dose of happiness when the upcoming chills will require layers on top.

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians. I’m thankful for a loving God, family, friends, this blog & everything related to it, and a beautiful city to call home.

Wearing: Zara sweater, skirt (similar) and booties (similar), MICHAEL Michael Kors bag

Happy thanksgiving! Since I’m not in Canada for the moment I kept forgetting when it is! I like orange, it’s a nice colour, but indeed, it can be tricky to wear if someone is not colour-adventurous! Love the look! And your mum’s Mugler coat! Can’t wait to see more looks with it! 🙂

awh, what a lovely outfit! I always thought that as a ginger I could NEVER wear orange, but I’ve recently bought a pretty burned orange circle scarf and I just can’t stop wearing it!

    Happy thanksgiving! x

You’re still my inspiration for wearing something slouchy or voluminous on top of a circle skirt. I just need to get a nice comfy knit for it.

Love you, girl. You look awesome-sauce. As always.

Now that the fall has really hit us, you couldn’t have whipped up a better outfit! I honestly don’t think I know anyone who pulls off orange as well as you do – I have this H&M blouse in the exact same colour just hanging in my closet but I honestly don’t think I can do it justice the same way you do. See what you’ve done Jen? Given us all inferiority complexes.

Absolutely loving everything about how you styled it, impeccably elegant as alwasy 🙂
