Soft Light

January 16, 2012

I’d been itching to debut this lovely blouse (with pearl buttons on the back!) since receiving it from MontAffair a while ago, but since it’s been way too cold here to stand outside without it being hidden under layers of wool, I haven’t had a chance. A gorgeous (but chilly!) day last week provided just enough light inside and was the perfect excuse to facilitate an indoor shoot. Since I wanted to allow the blouse to stand out, I paired it with feminine basics, punching it up with just a few textures and patterns to keep the look from being too dull.

This top has since been sold out, but check out this pretty alternative! The site offers free shipping within Singapore and Malaysia and worldwide delivery for $10 SGD (about $8 USD).
Wearing: MontAffair top (c/o), Topshop trousers, BB Dakota jacket, Zara shoes

You are so gorgeous with your getting dolled up indoors. The softly filtered light, the luxurious textures, the gorgeous clothing. I totally want to get dolled up to work at home, but unfortunately, I think my clothing would get ruined by all the cleaning agents and me working on my hands and knees to get the house spic and span! πŸ™‚

You always show ’em how it’s done, Jen! Love this.

Indoor photos can be so tricky with all of the different light sources, but these turned out so beautifully! I’m amazed you’ve held out on showcasing this beautiful blouse for so long, I would have gone out in the cold and probably caught a cold just to wear it πŸ™‚ But you’re obviously much more practical than I am, and the wait definitely paid off. Love those shoes, too – the tweed is gorgeous.

The lighting looks really nice in these photographs for an indoor setting; it definitely isn’t harsh at all and it’s quite complementary to the soft fabric of the blouse. The lace detailing at the hem of your blouse seems so delicate and intricate, it’s like an extra accessory by itself. Hope that you have a good week!

Jen, i think that light dances in your presence! honestly, you have such gravitational pull and any brilliant beams would be sadly remiss not to take notice of those inherent charms.

what a lovely shoot, David right?! gosh….he’s gooooooood! glad you had the opportunity to unveil your beautiful blouse – it’s gorgeous! also stoked that you are in a cozy, warm nook for this shoot cos damn straight…the coldness outside is off the charts. hope your week is full of fun, enjoy! xoox β™₯
