While it’s probably not great for the purpose of blog content, I think I’m really starting to learn to only buy clothes that will get their money’s worth. Since this whole questionable fiasco, I’ve done the same with a few different pieces (like this dress and these jeans) and frankly, I’m pretty happy with that. I’ve been veering toward classic shapes that can be styled in a lot ways, and the results of that have been a more streamlined wardrobe and a greater comfort in my clothes and skin. In turn, this has led to the idea of a more simplified life. Perhaps this is a taste of what it feels like to develop personal style?
PS. I’m super excited to be headed to Montreal for a few days! I will be taking a blogging break until I return, but you can follow along on Instagram and on Snapchat at herwaisechoice!

Jen, I couldn’t agree more! I am working myself away from quickie shopping from fast-fashion outlets and toward well designed, well made (and safely made) quality items. I think you’re right this can be most successful when following personal style discovery. Look forward to hearing more on this!
Your photographer is amazing by the way! Stunning work Brian Chan.
