I know that I really should be studying now instead of posting again, but it was a beautiful day today which meant that procrastination was essential. And I’m here to post it up and finish what I started!

I decided to wear the blazer that I wore yesterday again and style it in a different way. The reason for this is because I wanted to prove luxury companies wrong when they say that something is an “investment piece”. Now, it’s not that I don’t believe in quality and fit because I do and those two things are imperative no matter what I’m purchasing. I just think that those two words act as an “enabler” of sorts and cause people less guilt for spending so much on an item. I spent $39.99 on this blazer and am satisfied with the quality and fit, and believe that it will serve me for years. It’s fully lined and sewn well and goes with just about anything. Let’s face it, 97% of us can’t afford to spend several thousand dollars on a dress. I am here to vouch that a piece of clothing need not cost an entire months’ salary in order to be validated as an “investment piece”!

Unfortunately, not all fast-fashion finds are of such good quality. I love the details on this Forever 21 top, but it’s beginning to pill already. I guess in many cases, you do get what you pay for.

Hopefully this is really the last you hear of me until I finish finals. Thank you so much for your encouragement and kindness!

  1. aww we’re shoe twins! they look great on you! I love that peachy top too, very pretty. and girl, your legs look the same as mine haha what are you talking about? have you tried Siwy jeans? Aritizia has them, but I find the fit varies depending on the wash. I tried on a lighter pair in my usual size and I had to go up a size. whereas with this dark pair I’m wearing, my usual size fit just fine. it’s weird.

I love how you’re procrastinating by blogging haha, good luck with your exams! xo

  2. What sweet pictures… looks like a nice sunny day. :) You are such a cutie patootie… I like your F21 top.. I think I’ll have to DIY that.. maybe I can make mine last more than a few washes.. F21 is great, but you really do get what you pay for, well most of the time… and it’s okay to “take a break” from studying.. :) Good luck with your exams! I know you’ll kick some bootay. :)

  7. You look fantastic! Love these images. I’m so jealous of your camera + lens. What combination are you using?

Well after this, I should think nothing of falling down stairs.

  8. Hi! Thank you for the comment, even though I don’t completely agree with you said. If my “typical follower” just comes to my blog to look at pictures and style, I might as well delete my blog then. There’s enough out there already that does just that. I would like to think my real followers are taking the time to read what I have to say.

Anyway, best of luck to you on your finals.

    Kind regards,
    Lily
