{current shoe love – pointy toed flats}
When I came back home from New York last week, I was bored. Everything in Vancouver seemed so slow & inefficient in comparison. I liked being able to eat street food at any hour, walk quickly from place to place, and I was especially drawn to the promise of endless exploration that could be done in the city. I won’t deny that I still feel the yearning to move somewhere a little more fast paced while I’m young. However, here are a few of the little things I’ve enjoyed and have been thankful for since returning home: great food of our own, opportunity, amazing views– and of course even the extremely trivial things, like having access to my entire shoe collection 😉

{my first chicken & waffle experience at Chewies, which certainly did not disappoint!}

{the beautiful city I call home}

{our lovely model at a shoot I recently styled, goofing off when we realized her face was too delicate for these massive sunnies! more on this soon.}

{a very strong contender for my favourite dessert in town – green tea opera cake from Miku and Minami restaurants}
Happy Tuesday!
Fun post!

Love your blog! I live in Manhattan so I know what you mean about the great city vibe here. I truly love it. But I hear great things about Vancouver too. Hope to visit it someday!

I am loving pointy toe shoes as well, particularly flats! I definitely need to try out Chewies, looks like that’s my next place to dine out at.
P.S. I can’t WAIT to see what you styled. 🙂
Oooh the green tea opera cake looks yummy. That’s great that you can appreciate some good things about your hometown even if it is slower in comparison to NY =)

Welcome back! New York is an amazing city, so that post-vacation feeling of disappointment is understandable haha. Truthfully though, I think the pace of life in New York would wear me out if I lived there.
When it comes to sunnies, I think the bigger the better. My husband always laughs at me, but its what I like.
yum those desserts look divine! those shoes are cute too
I can understand your yearning for a more fast-paced lifestyle. I think you’d flourish quite well in a city like New York! Can’t wait to hear more about the shoot you styled 🙂

I’m loving seeing pointy shoes again. I was heartbroken when they disappeared.
Mmm food looks delicious! The shoes are lovely as well!
Chicken and waffles AND dessert? Beautiful pics as always!
I am so with you on the pointy toed flat! I am loving the shape so much lately! I’ve also never heard of chicken & waffles being served together! Bizarre and intriguing!
I love this small pieces of your week!
