Morning Fog

March 1, 2016

chambray and black outfit
There are a lot of things I admire about my fiancé (I’ll spare you the mushy details here). One of the qualities I’ve been most struck by since the beginning, though, is his inherent passion to create. Ever since we started shooting together for the blog almost one and a half years ago, he’s really encouraged and enabled me to see content creation as an opportunity to make something aesthetically beautiful and substantial, as opposed to taking pictures just for the sake of pumping out posts. The implications of that haven’t always been easy, since in this world of fashion blogging it seems like content is presented and consumed at a pace faster than I can manage, and the thought and time that we put into something often doesn’t translate in the final product. But once in a while, everything aligns – like with the shoot we did this past Saturday morning when we stumbled upon this moody, fog-laden field. And when that happens, I’m reminded of what a privilege it is to be able to do this together.

P.S. I’ve been a pretty big fan of this light chambray shirt by Baukjen lately. Besides being ridiculously soft and the perfect length, the narrower arms allow the piece to be relaxed and slightly oversized while remaining feminine and flattering. Total win!

Wow, I love how you captured the fog in the background! The darker than usual lipstick goes so well with this scenery!

Love the mystical vibe of the backdrop and your lightly layered look, such a chic style!
