After this wool trench was tailored and I wore it for the first time several weeks ago, I told my fiancé that it made me feel like a 30 year old. I’m a few years off from hitting three decades, but what I said wasn’t meant to be negative in the slightest. So what did I mean by it? I guess there’s long been a notion in my head that once you reach a certain age, the pieces you add to your closet will be there for a while. Practical and resilient wardrobe workhorses, if you will, that will serve you day in and day out. And this beauty from Everlane seems to be just that. There’s certainly nothing flashy about this coat. It’s grey, simply cut, and has plain buttons and minimal details. But what it does possess is beautiful, timeless quality. Even though I have a lot of simple, great pieces, something about this one really seems like it will withstand the test of time. An instant classic.

Your trench coat is beautiful. I would call it a “timeless classic”. If it is well made, I suspect you will get bored of it, way before before it wears out.
