While I love to layer in the winter, during the summer months I always try to keep things as simple as possible. My favourite warm-weather uniform has been largely the same for years: something high waisted and not constricting, a relaxed blouse, and very little accessorizing. For the sake of staying cool, I like choosing clothes that aren’t too tight and that are made of easy fabrics (top choices: silk and linen). To coincide with this pared-down look, I also like to switch up my bag: in the summer, you’ll often find me carrying just the essentials in a small crossbody or clutch. This GiGi New York number has been a current favourite: it’s minimal and clean, the pebbled leather is durable and beautiful, and the optional strap means I can also change it up when I want to go hands-free.
