After years of styling outfits on myself and having them documented for the blog, I’d like to think I’ve generally developed a pretty decent sense of what looks good on my body. That being said, and maybe it’s the perfectionist in me, I’m often still not totally happy with the way a certain piece fits, or I’ll wish I could change a detail or two about an overall look. It’s quite rare for an outfit to be executed in a way where I feel like all the elements really work. When it does, though, it feels pretty special… and that’s exactly how I felt in this look from Secret Location. The off-the-shoulder crop top from Giulietta and wide-legged, high-waisted Vionnet pants are definitely works of art on their own, but the combined proportions did wonders to flatter my shape and made me seem about six feet tall. Paired with a vintage red Chanel (!), having this on kind of made me not want to wear anything else ever again.

I totally see why it’s a perfect outfit! Yes you do look really tall! So how do the pants look from the back though? My problem is that my torso is definitely avg-long compared to my legs and although from the front my legs look longer in high-rise pants, sometimes my bum looks super long!
