Hello! My apologies for the absence around here… it’s so good to be back! If you haven’t been following along on Instagram / stories, we just returned from a three and a half week trip overseas, part of which was for our honeymoon in Bali. It was so, so wonderful to be away together without distraction – for what really feels like the first time in our entire relationship – especially after the year we’ve had with wedding planning! I’ve got lots of content from the trip that I’m excited to share over the next few weeks, including some recommendations on things we did… which happen to mostly include food.
But in the meantime, we’re back to real life now in many ways, and this includes the weather. I was pretty shocked at how ridiculously cold it was this past Sunday (even caught a fever, yay!), and this layered look that felt so cozy in early November, when these shots were taken, definitely isn’t good enough to stay warm now.
I’m still wearing these pieces (okay, maybe not the shoes) and sticking with this colour palette, but I’m now on the hunt for a parka to layer on top. I’ve had one for a few years but the down has worn thin, since it wasn’t really meant to be a super warm jacket to begin with. Any suggestions for an ethically sourced/made option? I’ll report back with what I find, too!
Hope you’re having a meaningful December leading up to the holidays!
