Ahh colour; my old friend. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while – and by a while I mean years – you’ll know I wore a whole lot of it back in the day. Brights on brights, colour-blocking, bold accessories, there was no limit to where it could go. For a long time now I’ve tried to put those days way behind me and have stuck exclusively with neutrals or muted colors that work like neutrals (think denim and army green), but something about this Everlane striped shirt dress changed that. I’ll be honest: when I first tried it on I was seriously hesitant and was set on sending it back, but it definitely grew on me. I’d forgotten how fun colour can be and what it can do to for an outfit. While it’s definitely too soon to say, perhaps it’s a start of a new chapter?
