A little fact about me: I was born in Vancouver, but don’t ski or snowboard. And while this may not seem like a big deal to some, based on the kinds of responses I get from people when they find out you’d think this was akin to a New Yorker who doesn’t ride the subway or a Southeast Asian who doesn’t eat hawker food. Regardless, because of this I don’t really go up to the mountains that we’re known for here in BC during the winter. This year, though, I rediscovered snowshoeing (and by that, I mean the first time I’ve gone since the fourth grade!), and it’s opened up a whole new facet of beauty and an increased appreciation for the city. Getting to spend time in the majestic snow covered trails that have transformed so much from our summer hikes really serve as a reminder of just how small I am.
Also, taking this prime opportunity to bid adieu to Winter on the blog! Excited to be posting the start of Spring style later this week, and I’ve been working on some fun wedding-related content that I’m looking forward to sharing with you as well. Thanks for sticking around!
