After wearing this parka a few too many times in the last couple of weeks, I’ve gotten to be quite strategic in my dressing in order to mix things up a little bit. Exhibit A: I have two cashmere knits piled on underneath this sweater dress, I’ve doubled up on tights, and this pop of plaid serves as extra warmth in addition to providing interest. How do you like to strategically dress for winter?
Wearing: Cos sweater dress, Mackage jacket, YesStyle scarf (c/o), BCBGMAXAZRIA booties, Loeffler Randall bag, Old Navy beanie (c/o), Club Monaco necklace, Estee Lauder lipstick in Rich Red
I love it! Canadian winters are brutal and we definitely need some strategy when dressing up to combat the cold, you look warm and not bulky at all. Well Done!

Amazing how just a bit of print can make a look from nice to fantastic!

Not every plaid is printed the same, and your scarf is just perfect in the colour distribution. Jealous of how perfectly your hair is curled and yes, layers on layers on layers are absolutely necessary but you have cleverly avoided the bulk!

I kind of wish I had time to be strategic about layering like this. Most days I’m in such a rush to get to work, I just put on a sweater dress and boots and the warmest coat I can find. Maybe during the Christmas holiday!
You look absolutely gorgeous!
A scarf is such a great way to add some colour to an otherwise neutral outfit, isn’t it?! And I love the seasonal feel of this one – red plaid is perfect for Christmas!! I’ll admit that I’m not a champion in the layering department myself…if I’m truly cold, I just wear my Sherpa jacket and I’m good to go!!

I love that scarf! It’s the perfect pop of colour/pattern to any outfit. Instead of doubling up on your tights next time, I suggest getting fleece tights for winter. They’re thick and super warm! I’ve been rocking them in Toronto winters for a while now, so it’s safe to say they work in Canada. ; ) I got mine on eBay, if you’re interested!

Adore all the layers! And I am not sure if your Vancouver weather counts as winter
