When it comes to wedding guest attire, black has always been my go-to. Perhaps it’s because I think it’ll be more versatile for styling, or that I’ll be able to get more wear out of it, but it’s been a no questions asked kind of situation for me for a long time.
Lately, I’ve found myself wanting to step out of that and take a style risk or two (at least for my standards). I was thisclose to choosing the black option for this Vetta jumpsuit, but something drew me to the muted blue option instead. While I wasn’t sure how it’d fare in my closet, I’ve been so pleasantly surprised about how versatile it’s been!
After getting the straps shortened (thank you, mother in law!), I’ve worn it to all three weddings that I’ve attended this year and haven’t felt tired of it at all. If anything, I’ve actually been more excited to wear it because it feels a little more fresh than the usual LBDs in my closet. I like that it’s a really simple, flattering silhouette so there aren’t too many different things going on and can still be styled in a variety of ways. And while the blue is admittedly still pretty “neutral” as far as colours go, it definitely makes me more keen to start branching out!
