How is it December already?! Apologies for the absence here lately: between starting a new job and getting engaged (!), November was just a bit of an eventful month. It’s also been so cold that I’ve probably been nearly unrecognizable underneath all my layers of clothing – so not many outfit photos have been happening.
My tendencies to be hidden under wool and down were momentarily taken away last weekend, when we attended a winter wedding in the near freezing temps. This presented a whole new challenge entirely: to dress appropriately while avoiding the catching of a fever. My original intention was to wear a long sleeved mini dress, but a last minute wardrobe change proved to be for the better: this midi skirt did a surprisingly good job of keeping my legs covered, and the cropped wool sweater provided warmth without adding bulk. I wore a short leather jacket on top of it, and I was almost actually cozy! I also liked that it was a slightly different look while still being formal. I’ll definitely be doing a variation of this outfit for any upcoming holiday parties!
