Autumn Showers

October 25, 2010

Brr! It’s getting cold here. Today, I restyled a skirt worn here to make it more fitting for the Fall weather.

Anyway, time to cut to the chase. I have been shopping very excessively and frankly, I need to stop! I’ve made this effort several times to no avail, but I am hoping for this time to be different. So I will be putting myself on a “ban” for 27 days– until November 20th (which happens to be the launch of the Lanvin x H&M collection)– with you wonderful ladies to keep me accountable! I know, 27 days may seem like child’s play to the average citizen, but I’m quite sure that as fellow bloggers, you know where I’m coming from. The halt to shopping will also serve well as a reminder to myself that style is never based on having shiny new things. So please track my journey with me throughout this next month as I attempt to get creative with my closet!

Wearing: Zara silk leopard print top, H&M skirt, tights and OTK socks, Zara booties, Vince cashmere sweater

Love how you restyled the skirt with tights and socks…genius!

And all your shiny new things are fabulous too! But I understand limiting/banning yourself until the Lanvin collection is released. I am under similar ban though I’m just trying to stop myself from excessive spending in general. Pretty good so far…haven’t bought anything new (clothing wise) in 2 weeks!

Thanks again for the giveaway! yay! it was the best email to wake up to! Can’t wait to get it! 🙂

I absolutely love this outfit!! The pink skirt brings such a happy summer feeling to what seems like a grey and rainy day.

I’m going on a shopping ban myself too. 27 days is really hard! I’m banning myself until Nov 26, which is Black Friday. I already have plans to hit up the outlets at midnight! 🙂

Best of luck with your ban!

How you manage to wear skirts all the time, even in cold weather amazes me! Once it dips below 70 degrees, I’m in nothing but jeans. Just amazing.

These photos are so beautiful, I love autumn because of the color of the trees, I am glad you captured it on camera. The skirt is amazing, the color is perfect and it also has ruffles, what more can you ask?
