Taking the summer off post-graduation is a blessing that I am entirely grateful for. As relaxing as it is, though, I’ve found that I feel awful when I get into the cycle where I’m doing nothing that’s actually productive or self-enriching. In an attempt to counter that, I’ve been putting in the effort to do more of the things I enjoy that typically would have taken a backseat during busier times. One of these activities is baking. Several days ago I made these chocolate-caramel cookies, which was effective in satisfying both my restlessness as well as my sweet tooth at once.

What are some of your hobbies? I’d love to know!

  2. Oh my goodness, these look amazing! Baking is definitely not one of my hobbies, but luckily my husband loves doing it- I’m sure I can convince him to make these :) I use most of my free time to catch up on reading… There is not way that one lifetime will be enough more to get through all of the classic novels I want to read!

  3. So was this the yummy goodness you were tweeting about the other day?

It looks delicious and an easy-to-make! I’ve actually been looking to make some Mochi ice cream. Have you had those? An asian treat, but SO SO SO good :)

  4. Ah I love the combination of chocolate and caramel!

I am not a baker or cook, at all, but I do enjoy good food. Luckily my bf LOVES to cook/bake, so that’s a win for me :-)

  5. LOVE the idea of pressing the caramilk square into the cookie. What a treat!

I wish I could say that baking was one of my hobbies but I just stick to dance and hot yoga. Luckily there is an Italian bakery next to where I dance so I can always refuel on canolis and sweets.

  6. Cooking, baking, slicing… the greatest hobby of my life, I seriously can’t live without it! :o)

  8. You already know I LOVE cooking vegetarian and vegan food. (My husband is a vegan ultra-marathoner, and I’m a former half-marathoner with an incurable disease AND arthritis–so going vegetarian has helped me wean off of medication…)

I saw your IG about this, and I was drooling… If only stuff like this didn’t make me sick.
