It’s been a few years since I’ve felt like I was “trendy”. It’s something that I’ve actively chosen to do, as my views on clothing have gradually changed. For the vast majority of the time now I’m veering toward classic pieces that I hope will stand the test of time and that I’ll use and love for years to come. One way of doing this has come from sticking to a neutral palette and simple silhouettes. The bomber jacket is a huge trend this fall – and one that I never thought I would wear. But this silky, relaxed number has a feminine flair that made it feel like a fun challenge to style. Toned down with closet classics like an off-the-shoulder black sweater and a faux suede mini skirt, this particular pieces manages to feel subdued and wearable.
