Now that it’s starting to get dark significantly earlier, it can be a bit stressful to find the time to take blog photos during the hours of natural light. That’s why I was so happy to have stumbled upon this back up spot last week for when the days are too packed; although the area is a little bit sketchy (an old homeless man kindly told me during the shoot that my sweater made me looked pregnant), the artificial light actually does quite well at illuminating clothing… especially these semi-shiny trousers.
Wearing: Aritzia sweater, YesStyle blouse, H&M trousers, vintage Bally bag, Zara shoes (similar), Flashy Era necklace (c/o boticca)

  1. That’s a great spot for light! I love the coated trousers and you styled them with neutrals so the pants could be the star!

  2. Gorgeous! I know EXACTLY where you are too (Creeper alert?) ;)

The old homeless man comment made me laugh, they honestly are the funniest people in our city, aren’t they?

Hope you have a fantastic week, Jen! xo

  3. The light is great for night shots, Jen! I tried on that sweater as Aritzia a few weeks ago but it looked horrible. It looks great on you though!

  11. Love your blog! You seem to buy a lot from Yesstyle – what is the sizing like (i.e. is it super small because it’s based in Asia). I wear a size xs from Club Monaco – you think I should order a size small from Yesstyle? Thanks!

  12. I absolutely love the layering of such a detailed blouse with that sweater.

  13. I can totally relate! I have trouble finding places to take outfit photos after work, too, since it’s usually dark by the time I get out of the office now. I’m even considering getting up super early (5 or 6 am??) to get some outfit photos in during the work week.

Love this outfit… you’re getting me excited for layering and fall! :)

    Love, S

  15. I love the shoes and the sweater. Very cute. I am having major trouble finding time to take my pics during the daylight hours now that they end so much earlier…
