I’m not much of a t-shirt girl. In fact, my friends have teased me- questioning the existence of even a single tee in my wardrobe. I’ll be honest: prior to a couple of weeks ago, I had one quality white crew neck, which was more than enough for me. Thanks to Gap, though, my collection has not only tripled but I’ve found a new love for making dressier pieces casual with this classic. And seeing that this seems to be one of those wonderful tees that get softer with each wash, it’s an even more welcomed addition to my closet.

Wearing: Gap t-shirt (c/o), Zara skirt, YesStyle jacket (c/o), Lanvin for H&M necklace, MICHAEL Michael Kors bag, Stuart Weitzman flats (c/o)

In case you missed it, I’m currently in New York and would love to have you follow along in pictures here!
Such a cute outfit. I’m not much of a t-shirt girl myself either, but I’ve always really liked the t-shirt with blazer look. Really liked how you styled it with that necklace and blazer.

Awww Jen- always looking as cute as a button! I hope you are enjoying your time in NYC! Turns out I won’t be able to make it to the Jimmy Choo event on Thursday (our new rental apt fell through and now we’re scrambling). It’s too bad, because I was looking forward to meeting you! Have a ton of fun for me! xx

Love this beautiful look & that necklace is beyond gorgeous!! I adore when you wear it. And I too discovered Gap tee’s not too long ago and I’m hooked just bought several striped ones and I can’t wait to go back for more!! xo veronika
This is such a classy outfit and that necklace is amazing. I have the opposite problem – too many tees (especially with annoying designs/cuts) and not enough basic blouses like you wear. Recently, I started trying to get the basics in every form and get rid of my many cheap “cutesy” tops. I wanted good quality without paying a crazy price, and Gap has fulfilled that for me. I love seeing what I can find in the store, especially on their clearance rack!

The pop of red looks really pretty amongst the neutral colors of the outfit! Very chic!
I used to be only a tee girl in hs but now I love tees and blouses equally
I especially like dressing down an outfit with a tee like you did here. Your feminine outfit has a great color palette allowing the necklace to really shine. Have a great time in NYC!
Love your pumps and the bold necklace! It really adds a punch to your whole outfit.
I just recently realized that I don’t own the basic tees either.. I got either printed or something else.. but lacking basics in my wardrobe. lol There’s a time when I just want to go simple and casual but then I’m like, Oh crap, I don’t own any simple shirt. LOL

I love how you always make pieces work with your style and what’s already in your closet. You can hardly tell that you’re wearing such a simple grey T with the rest of those pieces. Hope you’re enjoying the Big Apple!

Love how you paired a casual t-shirt with a more formal structured jacket against an a-line white skirt. The bold necklace rounds out the whole look so well, adding that splash of colour and detail!

I’ve always found American Apparel tees to be one of the best for comfort and quality, but the high price tag has always put me in my place! Glad to see there’s a cheaper alternative.
