Some of you may know that I’ve pared down my wardrobe by about 80% in the past year (you can read about it here). Since then, I’ve naturally also become much more particular about what I add in. When I do consider a new piece these days, I tend to gravitate toward items that will have longevity in my closet, and that I know I will wear a lot. That means lots of neutral tones, classic fits, and things that I feel good in… and this crisp white shirtdress is all of the above and then some.

  1. Jen, I’m a long time follower of your blog and can truly say your outfits over the last few months have been my favourite. Everything feels so unfussy and polished – it’s exactly where I feel my style is evolving to as well. I’m so inspired by your pared-down wardrobe, and completely relate to your love of classic pieces. Please keep blogging forever! xx

  2. I love how classic and feminine this outfit is. And I agree with the comment above, about how your style is slowly evolving into a perfectly shaped, mature (but still very stylish) look. I love looking to your blog for inspiration every day!

  3. My own closet is in a constant state of “purge,” dear Jen…I literally don’t have room to hang anything new without first ousting something old!! But I am trying very hard now to bring home only those pieces that give me that “can’t live without it” feeling…just like the feeling I’m sure you had when you laid eyes on this classic white shirtdress!!
