Topped Off

February 6, 2012

Sometimes you don’t realize just how much a look is lacking until you find that one extra piece: this outfit started off sans hat at the beginning of the day, and I was thoroughly happy with how it came together. Then the perfect topper (which will work with a multitude of other outfits in the colder months!) was randomly found at a local boutique, making me realize just how much it was missing! What do you think: big difference or not?

Wearing: Club Monaco sweater and skirt (here on sale in a pale pink!), YesStyle vest (c/o), BOARD OF TRADE CO hat, Zara heels, DKNY bag, Lauren Elan bracelet (c/o)

The hat looks great, Jen! I went to CM to try on that sweater after you posted it on Twitter/Instagram but it’s not quite my style. I’m wearing the pink version of your skirt in my latest outfit post though, haha!

Jen babes! You look really good in hats. I wish I did. It’s super hard for me to find hats that fit my large head. I wish we had a millinery on the island. I’d totally love to have a custom made hat.

I have a skirt similar to the one you’re wearing in the works. Can’t wait to use it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s to a fab week, Jen!

You are so cute! I absolutely love hats, but I swear I have the biggest head, or at least an oddly formed one, so whenever I try hats on (aka trying to get one at Aritzia for $25), they just don’t fit. It’s sad really. Lucky you managed to find one that actually fits, I’m jealous!

Super cute look, as always, and the sweater is so perfect ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have a fantastic week! xo

Though the outfit would have still been fabulous without the hat (as evidenced in the last pic), I think it does give it a little something else. I’m loving the CM core of this outfit, that skirt is seriously one of my fave things that I own in my closet and the nautical sweater is such a great addition! Beautiful outfit love.
