{cable knit – J.Crew sweater and YesStyle snood}
Cold weather calls for many indulgences: things like hot chocolate, fireplaces, and bubble baths come to mind. In other words, the chills in the air instill a deep need for all things cozy and warm. Here are some of the things that have recently fit the bill for me, and that I’m so thankful for.
What do you long for when the weather is cold?

{the satisfaction of making fresh pasta – I followed this recipe}

{a warm bed to snuggle up in}

{burning candles – this one from Violet Boutique is absolutely perfect}

{catching up with a friend while sipping a favourite cold weather drink / spanish latte from Caffe Artigiano}

    Ooh, those knits look so perfectly cozy! As the weather cools down, I find myself wanting faux fur! Specifically, a cozy throw for my living room and a vest for myself!

    This is such a feel-good post. And we need it here on a brutally cold and gray Seattle Tuesday.

    For cold weather it’s all about the food!! Chocolate and coffee is something I can’t refuse. Btw, I remember sawing your video about the dalits a while back — I’ve been to India myself to serve on a mission team to help the dalits too just a year ago. Those children are a wonderful blessing and ever since then I’m always reminded of how blessed we are and how precious life is.

    Fresh pasta is the best and so worth the extra effort! Great job making the bow ties, they’re perfection.
