A Case for Flats

black romper her waise choice
I recently thought about how rarely I wear heels nowadays. Just a few years ago, I’d have no problem heading out in the morning in a pair of 3-inch pumps. And even though my feet would hurt pretty quickly into the day, I would always justify that by how well the shoes pulled the outfit together. Blame it on getting older, but fast forward a few years and practicality and comfort have definitely taken top priority when it comes to getting dressed. Truth be told, most of the time when I wear heels on the blog, the flats are tucked away in a canvas bag that didn’t make the shot (yes, that’s how so many of us bloggers do it!). And so, with that being said, here’s what I really wore earlier this week for a day of running errands around the city. Happy Friday!

  1. I know what you mean. I used to always be in heels and now its all about the flats for day-to-day. Now my heels are pretty decorations on the shelf (and fun for outfit posts ;) . Great post.

  2. Flats are how us working girls get through the day. :) On the bright side, anytime I see a cute pair I can justify buying them by saying “I wear flats all the time.”

  3. Totally agree with you. Since having my son, I find myself wearing my flats more often and my heels for special occasions. xo

  5. Your leopard flats add a whole lot of personality to this chicly layered look, dear Jen…proof that a great outfit doesn’t always have to include sky-high heels!!
