Little Rascal

As me and my boyfriend's relationship has progressed over the last couple of years, my love for his little teacup Yorkie, Dexter, has grown as well. He is hyperactive and can be notoriously fickle, but there are times (usually when we have sufficiently tired him out) when his sweet, cuddly side comes out. Sometimes when I am sitting on the floor typing on my computer he will march himself right next to me, lie down and make sure the whole side of his body touching mine. And then if he is feeling extra cute he will re-adjust himself and put one little paw on my leg. My boyfriend sometimes jokes that he knows I will never leave him because I couldn't bear to say goodbye to Dexter... and that may very well be true! ;)

By the way, is it tacky to share how much I paid for a piece of clothing? Oh well if it is, because I'm happy to say that I got this pretty 'golden mustard' pleated skirt for about 85% off at Gap the other day, paying a grand total of $12! I never shop there but decided to wander in because I had a bit of time to kill, and found this little gem floating in the sales racks!

{A better look at what I wore, at Ikea later that day}

Wearing: Mackage coat, Jacob lace button up, Gap skirt, Wolford tights, H&M knee high socks, Zara booties, Joe Fresh jewelry

  1. Your bf's dog is so cute! Awww...and it sounds like it loves you very much, too (resting his paw on your leg? Too cute!). The pic of it licking your chin is precious!

Now that I've finished gushing about the adorable dog, I'll comment on your outfit hehe...Lovely combination again. $12? Total bargain and very pretty, too. Not tacky at all to share the price.

  10. I love the Gap haha.

I also loved that skirt but they never had it in my size when it was on sale! Tragic.

Glad you picked it up though, looks stunning on you.

  12. i;m gonna go to jacob and get that lace top cause simply love it. is it from their new collection?
btw it isnt tacky to tell people you got an amazingly great deal for a fraction of the price.
what is tacky is when people throw huge numbers as to "i paid $3000 for a bag".
u are the least tackiest person i know so u should never worry about that.
unforunly somebody who i used to admire has commletly changed my mind about them after seeing them use this kind of tacky display of wealth.very dissaponiting as I thought they showed a lot of potential.

  13. Oh not tacky at all to reveal how much you paid! Never be ashamed to reveal you got a good deal! At least in my mind, fashion is very related to shopping which for me is synonymous with price points and good deals.

But anyway, I love the pleated gold skirt and it looks darling with the lace blouse tucked in!

  23. What a great find with the skirt. Your dog is adorable-I'm dying to get a pet but my boyfriend doesn't like having them around (too much work, fur everywhere, etc).

  24. Wow you got an awesome deal on that skirt! I love the bright yellow colour, it's one of my favourites. And the coat you're wearing is amazing as well....you seem to have a lovely selection of coats. It's definitely a good idea when trying to look fashionable during frigid temperatures. I should follow your example, this winter doesn't seem to be going away too soon.

  25. Funny coincidence: I also saw that exact same skirt at my local GAP store a few weeks ago and I was absolutely in love with it. THE SADDEST PART, though, was it was a size 12 and the last one on the floor :( :( :( You lucky, girl! :D

I want a puppy, too! It's one of my 2011 New Year resolutions. Well, not so much of a resolution, more of a... goal? hahahaha...
