:) I have a clarisonic already, so I'm not entering.

As a skincare junkie and working in a related skincare industry... I've learned a few things about washing your face. The oatmeal cleansing method you were using is a good exfoliation method, but that should be complementary or supplementary to an actual cleansing. Oatmeal is good for calming and exfoliation but does not exactly remove all the dirt, makeup, environmental pollution and residue from your face. You'd actually need to cleanse fully first for a good minute with a gentle cleanser to remove makeup and really clean and then use the oatmeal to exfoliate and remove anything left over after the cleanser. My company made a great video on how to get great cleansing for glowing skin here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW6YAL5OxE0. I pretty much use this method. Just thought I'd give you some of my thoughts on why you weren't feeling super clean. :)

Hi Jen, first off must say that I adore your skin tone and clarity. I have rough skin myself. Living in hot and all year round sunny Singapore, my T-zone gets oiler by the day but the other areas like my cheeks are dry. I battle with the problem of blemishes on my cheeks and blackheads on my nose despite a good skin are regime. Have also adopted the oatmeal cleansing method after hearing about it on this blog and it really soothes my skin, the smell is awesome too :)

My main concern is having fairly oily and acne prone skin. My skin regime had consisted of using Proactiv for the longest time, but I'm hoping that I can eventually change it up so that I am not dependent on it for the rest of my life! I've tried oatmeal as an exfoliator and it worked amazing - I just got a little lazy from cleaning up the sink so I gave up :P haha

I'd love to try one of these! I have the worst skin, am always breaking out (although the oatmeal you suggested has been helping). I've heard great things about clarisonic though and would love to give that system a go.

I currently have hormonal acne and although it's gotten much better over the years, I still tend to break out from time to time so I really need a deep cleaning cleanser and a brush to keep is squeaky clean.

How exciting!

I have been considering a Clarisonic recently because I've been trying to use SPF on a daily basis after reading countless newspaper stories and blog posts about how important it is to protect your skin from sun damage.

All of the sunscreens and SPF day creams I've tried have broken me out and I suspect it's because my cleansing routine just isn't removing the sunscreen at the end of the day. A milky cleanser and toner just don't seem to be enough. I'm hoping that a Clarisonic will fix that and leave my skin clean and fresh!

Hope you do a more detailed review of the Clarisonic soon!
