I am a lover of gold. Heck, it doesn't even matter if it's real: the only genuine yellow gold jewelry in my possession are a pair of tiny studs given to me by my grandmother and a simple necklace from my mother. Lucky for me (and my student budget), the fake stuff does the trick just as well and I'm rarely ever in silver jewelry if I can help it. From the hue of my necklaces to the hardware on my handbags, having a pop of gold in my ensemble can quickly make me feel pretty and put together without much effort. Although my go-to earrings are still pearl studs, this large, semi obnoxious pair of gold baubles are a fresh and quirky alternative. For $1.50 a pop after an extra $2 off the sale price, they are a happy addition into my jewelry collection and something that I know I'll be constantly wearing year round.

I love your skirt Jen, it's so pretty and feminine. I don't have a preference for gold or silver...I guess it depends on my mood. I tend to lean toward silver though because gold seems a bit too dressy for my purposes. I don't know why I have that impression. :)

Gorgeous, as ever! I'm a silver girl. I think it's mostly because the majority of my closet boasts black and white clothing and I somehow feel like silver "matches" that? Is that silly? Anyway. I love your shoes! It figures that they're Zara - I really need a Zara in my life.

i once had a pair of gold earrings from Sugarline (Vancouver based company) and one side fell down the drain! :( Ever since, I've only been wearing sterling silver studs but once I find another pair of gold earrings that I like and worthy of my student budget, I'll definitely pick it up!!

Well, I used to be all about silver jewellery, but seems like my taste has recently headed into a new direction... Most of my bags have a golden hardware now and I can't imagine them any other way! :o)

I used to think gold was tacky when I was young. I must've been insane because gold is clearly super classy and elegant. Happy to report that I've changed my ways and don't wear much silver anymore!!

I think I like gold and silver (or white gold) equally. I like rose gold too. I actually have mixed metals for my wedding/engagement rings (rose gold with pave diamonds wedding band + emerald cut solitaire set in white gold). Platinum is over-rated.. lol. ;)
I love the tulip skirt Jen. Looks expensive! :) And of course the leopard print top will always be a winner in my book.

I'm more of a casual girl, and have always stuck to silver tones. I've always thought gold was either too "mature" for me or, if not done well, too gaudy. But I can definitely see how the right touches of gold can add lots of class and elegance to an outfit! :)
