{a pretty manicure that is still 'safe' enough for my liking, given to me by a talented friend}
We've been blessed with some remarkably beautiful, albeit chilly, autumn weather here in Vancouver this year. However, that all changed today with the first dark and wet day we had in a while and according to the weather forecast, this gloom is here to stay. Since my mood tends to be drastically effected by the weather (a case of SAD?), I've been looking to the little things to inject doses of happiness into my day- things like reading in bed, nail polish, and pretty new jewelry. To me, sweet little pick me ups like these are key to getting through the shorter days with my sanity in tact.

This really is such a beautiful collection of "little doses of happy", and I thank you for sharing them.
I only have 3 days left of work before I'm unemployed for our move, and I'm getting afraid of what the future holds. I don't want to work for the man anymore, and I don't want to work in anything untenable, nor unfulfilled... I'm almost 30; it's too late in my life to do something I'm not at least a little satisfied with.
So, yeah, these little glimpses of happiness are beautiful and infuse my life with hope and warmth. Keep it up.
And I love that manicure. It gives me ideas of what to do with my new found time off.

Love your manicure! I've been doing ombre glitter nails a lot lately. They're so fun!

it's all about the little pick-me-ups! i'm totally with you on the nail polish too! I love the sparkle you added to your nails. I can't get enough of the sprakly polish these days and seem to buy a new one every time i'm in the store...yikes!
