Windy City

by Jen on Monday, November 14, 2011

A day filled with violent winds, occasional downpours and intermittent hail storms doesn't exactly make for ideal outfit photos, but sometimes (particularly during the cold months) you have to take what you can get. Since I was so eager to capture my new skirt in action, we quickly snapped these shots this weekend while I tried my best not to look like I was on the verge of being toppled over by the wind.

Wearing: H&M jacket and blouse (old), Club Monaco skirt (here in a lighter hue), Zara pumps, pearls from India and China, vnunes ring (c/o)

I thought you were wearing a vest on top of a sweater! Love it even more knowing that it's a jacket.

Such a beautiful outfit again, love the combination of blue with the "copper" color of the skirt. Very pretty! The jacket is very cute as well.

Such poise in the face of blustery winds!

It was great seeing you at the Chinois opening.

That skirt is so beautiful, both colour and fabric. And despite the horrible weather conditions your photos turned out amazing!

I'm seriously in love with that skirt, so so so happy you got it. It is literally made for you! Omg I got stuck on the bridge in the hail storm, it was terrifying! How you look so serene and lovely is beyond me. I looked like a nervous wreck by the time I was out of the storm haha. Hope your Monday is off to a good start my love!

Haha I commented about the wind on my blog today too, and I haven't even attempted to take photos TODAY on this crazy windy day...

You look perfect. I seriously can't get over your amazing skirt collection!!

Jen, this is SUCH a pretty outfit! I am still just smitten with that jacket, and haven't seen a single other person with it - I feel you hit some secret h&m jackpot! So gorgeous! And this skirt is so incredibly pretty! And you are so right, I'm thinking I really need to up my game and take photos at every chance I get, seeing as soon it will be -25 and taking photos will be increasingly hard to get!

you look stunning as usual!! You always have the best skirts that manage to look as if they were tailored just for you. I love this! xo

You look SO gorgeous, I almost just picked up an H&M jacket that is very similar to yours just an hour ago (it's what happens when you kill time waiting for the bus inside a mall...). I LOVE that skirt soso much and you obviously killed it with your styling.

I'm waiting for more snow this week, and FINGERS CROSSED school gets cancelled so I can sleep in and have an excuse to take pretty snow pictures!

Oh Jen, great minds obviously think alike - I just brought this skirt home last weekend! It looks fabulous on you, and I love that you paired it with navy (at least partly because that's how I styled it, too!)
